Circulation Manager
-
May 2021 - Present
I independently built a circulation and metadata system that eliminated chronic collection loss for over 25,000 textile, glass, wood, plastics, and sustainable material samples. Using bulk photography practices, over eight thousand items were photographed and uploaded to our circulation software within three months. As manager, I lead a team of eight student employees. Together we complete day-to-day tasks including check-outs and returns, weeding, organizing, answering reference questions, and barcoding.

Jan 2020 - Mar 2020
I alphabetized and sorted the center's reference collection for cataloging into LibraryThing. I also assisted the curator by stage-managing public programs events. This included a rehearsal with speakers, setting up patron spaces, running the sound and lights booth, and packing up supplies after the event ended. Archives Assistant

Sep 2018 - Jun 2019
I appraised and archived research materials for a local historian's recently published book on the Green Mountain Boys. I researched any archival record that was printed from an online site, indicating if the website no longer existed, or archiving the existing site on Archive.org's Wayback Machine to ensure its posterity. I fulfilled reference requests regarding genealogy research, which required excellent record keeping and cataloging with the institutions' proprietary analog system. Library Intern
-
Jan 2019 - Mar 2019
I independently devised an Excel formula that could assist the library in determining what items should be removed from the stacks based on ILL availability within the SHARE network and history of checkouts from patrons. This system was implemented as a foundational source for the Thomas J. Watson Library's efforts to create several years of growth space for the collection without impacting the offsite storage budget. At the Costume Institute Library I digitized watercolor fashion designs from the Thomas J. Thorpe collection. I completed day-to-day administrative tasks such as offsite shipping management, logging new items into Sierra, creating barcodes, searching for lost books in the stacks, and weeding collections.

SF Shakes Education Counselor
-
Jun 2017 - Jul 2017
As the Production and Design Teaching Artist, I educated children aged 4-13 about Elizabethan England theatre practices. Using history lessons as a basis, we created costumes, props, and set pieces for their own Shakesperian Productions. As the Aftercare Manager, I supervised children after camp ended. We continued to work on artistic projects, history lessons, and line memorization. Working closely with parents, I ensured campers had special needs met regarding food, medicine, and daily check-ins. When not teaching my class, I was assistant to the "Voice and Movement" Teaching Artist and Assistant to the "Discovering Shakespeare" Teaching Artist.

Juliet's Secretary
-
Jan 2016 - Jan 2017
At the club, I correctly archived the organization's letters by scanning every page and pairing the facsimile with the querent's letter. I ran the museum space and the gift shop when tourists came by to explore the space. I was able to give tours, solicit donations, and increase shop revenue. During the Verona in Love festival, I supervised the Club di Giulietta booth in the town square. As the English Tourist Guide, I lead tourists, patrons, and film crews throughout the city and offered them guidance as to where they should visit in the city. I also supervised the mass handwritten transcription of Romeo and Juliet in both English and Italian in honor of the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death Due to my impressive letter writing, I was allowed to continue my services as a secretary for the following year, answering questions that had been emailed to the Club.
