Worked on a farm production crew for a VYCC organic vegetable farm in Vermont through an AmeriCorps service position. Responsible for taking care of livestock, operating advanced equipment, working with a crew of 10 peers, tending to crops, taking turns managing the kitchen and cooking meals for all farm workers, and participating in crop planning. Produce from the farm went toward a healthcare share for Vermont citizens experiencing food insecurity - occasionally helped run share deliveries.
