Sarah George

I can thoroughly recommend Sarah who had a years' placement with Saxum as a design assistant, while at Nottingham Trent University. Enthusiastic, energetic and creative, Sarah has graduated with a 2.1 in Furniture and Product Design. Experienced in Autocad 3D, Rendering, Presentations, Promotion and Accounting, she demonstrated a real versatility along with strong organisational skills within our office which would benefit any buisness. She deserves to succeed.

Kinnarps is one of Europe largest office manufacturers and is still family owned after over 70 years of trading. The central core of their ethics is sustainability, throughout the years they have developed and produced furniture with sustainability in mind, raw materials having chain of custody and predominately locally sourced, foams without VOC's, no waste to landfill policy, reusable packing blankets not cardboard are a few ways to start the conversation with us. Ask about making bread out of our chairs??? I currently manage the UK design team for Kinnarps and our design capabilities include tenders, space planning, visuals, presentations, look and feel, BIM, installation plans and product specification. We work alongside clients, D&B, Fit-Out contractors, Architects and Designers to help create interior solutions. The other part of my role is the lead consultant using our tried and tested consultancy offering called Kinnarps Next Office. A efficient process to help clients find out a design brief tailored to their office. A set of tools have been developed to allow us to undertaken workshops physically or digitally with many of the employees to help bring them along the journey to help create their new office.

A design practice who produce hi-end architectural staircase designs from concepts to manufacturer to installation. Bespoke joinery is also designed with attention to detail to ensure the client's desires are achieved. All designs are produced for both the domestic and commercial environments. During the course of the year my responsibilities and skills developed immensely. My tasks ranged from CAD drawing, advertisements, accounts management and client meetings. I gained a huge amount of knowledge about interiors and how to design within the constraints of the building and budget, whilst maximising the space for optimal function.
