I was recruited as the Logistics Manager for the Rowa Mohamed Municipal Campaign for Ward 12. My responsibilities include cutting turf, initiate canvass strategies, collect and manage voter data. In August, I was involved in the campaign's change management procedure and took on the role as Campaign Manager. Under my leadership, we recruited 30 diverse volunteers and became their volunteer coordinator during door-to-door canvass, telephone canvass and Get Out the Vote (GOTV). - Oversee aspects of the research, drafting and implementation of a municipal campaign plan in accordance to Elections Canada. - Recruit and manage campaign staff and volunteers. - Manage all aspects of fiduciary oversight, legal administration and adherence to campaign finance reporting requirements. - Write, edit and proofread copy for promotional materials within marketing campaigns - Ensure that the candidate's brand and identity is adhered to in campaigns and in all communication channels - Collect & manage data through door-to-door canvass and draft informed policy - Execute volunteer coordination & implement GOTV strategies

An ad-hoc group of students from different faculties, levels of study, and walks of life working in tandem with the Organizing Equality International Conference to bring discussion, education, collaboration, and advocacy to the Western community and beyond. We form a student leadership body that could learn from, contribute to, and work with the conference. The Coalition’s creation was prompted by the string of recent hate crimes in London, as well as by other identity-based divisions and conflicts that Western students have experienced and witnessed in our community.We are committed to student-led and student-centered action that helps build capacity among like-minded peers on campus, ultimately working towards greater equity at Western and in London.
