As part of the Transport and Infrastructure Design Team, responsibilities included producing technical detailed designs for both municipal and private schemes pertaining to highway works, drainage and earthworks. A focus on sustainable design was at the core of all projects. The role has required significant collaboration with colleagues as part of multidisciplinary teams to problem solve and produce successful final designs. Representing BWB at Design Team Meetings and addressing action points through delegation was required. Contributed to the overall success of the team by fostering strong relationships with colleagues whilst mentoring and providing support to less experienced team members. Produced fee proposals for clients to include the detailed scope of services, fees, potential risk items and anticipated design delivery program. Managed the project profitability through an internal Project Management System which aided in decision making regarding resourcing and time allocation. Produced project reports for clients and senior management focusing on project schedule status, potential health and safety issues, technical approval progress and fee updates. Designs completed using UK industry standard software packages including PDS, AutoCAD, AutoTrack, Civil 3D, Microdrainage and the Microsoft Office Package. Show less

• Competed in the 2008 Beijing Olympics in Whitewater Canoe Slalom.
