The Vivian Olum Child Development Center is a community where children are nourished, parents are welcomed, and caregivers feel valued. At Vivian Olum a welcoming environment was given to University students to learn about the development of young children from 0-5 years old. My primary goal while in this position included providing a foundation of experiences that fosters the growth and development of children and continues to produce a safe and nurturing environment for children and families. Assisted Dr. Maureen Zalewski on her Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Mom's Study. In this lab, we worked through an evidence-based approach, treating individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and other disorders involving high emotional dysregulation. This lab is in the process of completing a 5 year clinical trial on DBT Skills for mothers of preschool-aged children, which oftentimes this position required supervision over children who struggled with behavioral disorders. At Metrica Inc., a focus was placed on investigating international policies on immigration, subcontractors, and housing in relevant countries throughout Western, Central, and Eastern Europe, the Russian Federation and former Soviet Republics, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Americas. While assisting at this company, I also composed relocation reports detailing options for major clients including: The World Bank, Shell, and IMF.
