I have gained extensive experience in archival work, research, editing, and creative writing with a focus on areas related to women, storytelling, activism, and history. Here, I am able to challenge common questions about war and to archive the ways in which militant women resisted in various unconventional ways. Assist the Playwright, Anna Burkholder, in the research for her play: The Caravan. My research will expand, but is not limited to: abortion law, adoption processes, reproductive justice, abortion stories, immigration laws, forced sterilization, feminism in Canada, and the 1969 Omnibus Bill. Focusing on the ways in which Black and Indigenous women, specifically, in Canada have been affected by harmful medical practices, my role is to unpack research, explore critical questions, and provide a personal analysis of how the research data could be translated in the writing of the play.
