In 2001 I set up my own Limited company processing mortgages for several IFA(Independent Financial Advisory ) practices. This involved all aspects of processing residential and commercial mortgages, processing the application through to the lender, liaise with the client and collect any information needed to process the application, checking to get the correct mortgage offer issued from the lender, liasing with the solicitor firms for completion dates, chase the lenders for payment. I have to work with my clients on a consultative basis, making sure they understand what they are agreeing to and what their responsibilities are in doing so.

I focussed my business and targeted clients on the South Coast where I approached clients and gained business with some bluechip companies, some of which who has never dealt with Matchtech before. I did this through advertising in the press journals, plus I used the internet to advertise and search for talented CVs. It was a challenging market with numerous competitors trying to fill the same position!
