My junior year at Pace I was voted into the Unity & Social Justice Ambassador position within our student government without even running. Students and staff wrote my name in for this position, and I ended up having the most votes. In the role I facilitated initiatives concerned with advocacy, philanthropy, global social justice & community issues and coordinate open discussions for students, as well as between the campuses’ SGA executive officers, to create a collaborative opportunity and climate of cross-campus unity while addressing student needs. Along with over seeing two interns and attending bi-weekly senate meetings, I ran programs on campus such as our holiday blessing bag drive where we put together and donated over 200 care kits filled with essentials like hand sanitizer, a comb, tooth paste and a tooth brush, and more. In my role as a FIRE (fighting ignorance and rape with education) Peer Educator, I planed and hosted events that provide education about the prevention of sexual assault on college campuses. Along side these events I presented to first-year seminar classes, select student organizations, and students and families at orientation sessions to inform of current statistics and resources available to students. Lastly and most importantly, I served as a confidential resource for survivors of sexual assault and supported them through legal and medical processes. Show less

As the president of the on campus radio station, WPAW, it was my job to communicate event plans with other members and faculty to ensure events are properly executed. I supervised and trained our members on setting up audio equipment, while running weekly meetings for general body members on topics regarding all things music and media. Alongside this, I hosted my own alternative rock radio show with weekly, up-to-date playlists to create consistent shows for listeners, which had become the most listened to show on campus. As a contracted online producer for a special episode of Brave Troubadours I worked remotely on the logistics of the show. This episode highlighted Connie Fortunato, the Founder and President of Music Camp International (MCI), an organization that aims to transform​​ children, communities and countries through the power of music. Music to Life produced a limited series that explores and celebrates the intersection between music and social change. This project captures conversation and performances of a curated group of Asian American musicians to highlight the bond between music and activism. As Assistant Director I was in charge of the logistics on set. In this role I was sure to keep to our production schedule, delegate various aspects of production in order to film multiple interviews simultaneously, communicate with talent so they felt heard and comfortable on camera, and make sure filming went as smooth as possible. I collaborate with faculty and distributors to negotiate best textbook retail prices for our students. Lastly, I interact with incoming and prospective students during campus tours to provide student perspective. Not only do I serve as a face of the bookstore, but as a face of Pace University. I partnered with Rachel Simon, Director of Gender and Sexuality at Pace University, to put together the workshop Amplifying Advocacy for the LGBTQIA+ Community in the Face of Cis and Heteronormative Models. SPECTRUM is the nation’s largest education conference devoted to preventing and responding to sexual and interpersonal violence against members of the LGBTQI+ community.
