My role in the fast food was polyvalent: I took orders, cashed them in and prepared them, as well as maintained the restaurant room and answered clients' questions. These tasks guaranteed a fast and efficient service to satisfy clients. My election by the party members as Vice President led me to oversee the daily activities of the party, head event organisation, and supervise the party's election campaign. My efforts contributed to increasing the party's activities and raising the party's visibility and popularity. About seven public events were organised over the academic year and we have reached a peak of over 80 members. Following the elections, the party remained the only one representing students in all councils of the university. Compared to the previous student elections, the party was the only one to gain votes (from 17% of the vote share to 26%) and council seats (from 21% of the seat share to 28%), despite the lower turnout in almost all faculties and across the university (on average, -5%). I developed the brand of the party by ensuring an online and offline presence via social media, newsletters, our website and events. I increased the social media output from barely any to 3 posts per week and contributed to create events every other month. This doubled our number of followers (+200), enhanced our members' engagement, and increased the community feeling of the party. I facilitated my work by quickly learning to use new programs and tools (e.g. Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Facebook Ads, Mailchimp, Wordpress). Show less

I networked locally and internationally with NGOs. In particular, I was the contact person between the committee and the French association Petits Frères des Pauvres. Thus, I handled the communication with this association, promoted it, recruited volunteers for it, as well as organised preparatory workshops for the volunteers and helped them with travel-related administrative tasks. I also led and assisted in group projects within the committee to raise funds and awareness on the SGDs and organisations. This was done through creative and engaging events and social media posts. Additionally, I volunteered locally with my fellow committee members. Show less

Mar 2019 - Mar 2019
To complete my graduation project, I undertook a two-day observation internship at the Cabinet of the Minister President of the Walloon Government. I learned about the affairs of the cabinet, for instance the coordination of government policy, intra-Belgian relations, international relations, and the management of Walloon funds. I also followed employees of all committes in their functions, such as diplomacy, international aids, finance, and public relations. Additionally, I gained perspectives on what could interest me for my career by discussing with various employees about their professional experience. Show less

Oct 2018 - Oct 2018
To complete my graduation project, I undertook a two-day observation internship at the then Walloon Ministry of the Environment, Regional Planning, Mobility and Transport, Animal Welfare, Public Works, Road Safety, Ecological Transition and Zoning. I followed and sometimes assisted cabinet members and the minister in their activities: I gathered documents to prepare various meetings, processed a closed file to get acquainted with the procedure, and attended meetings and a press conference. I also learned about the functioning of the cabinet and various projects led by the ministry, such as projects related to sustainable food, the drought, and animal welfare. Show less
