      Taking over this existing business was the most thrilling and rewarding experience I have ever had. Working and creating new ideas alongside my best friend and business partner did not even feel like work. It definitely was not easy as there was many challenges we had to face and fight through even before officially taking over. At first to others this adventure we were going on seemed impossible, as many knew the huge risk we were taking. There was nothing except for our vision, hunger and passion. We always believed in our vision, had to achieve our goals to appetize our hunger, and conquer our passion for success. This experience has taught me many things as a person and as a business leader. The saying hard work pays off really is true. From creating a huge social media platform, to sponsoring unforgettable amazing events, we did it all. Before we knew it we had to hire staff and little did we know this was even a higher mountain to climb. Finding the right team to build your vision is one of the most essential parts.       This was an amazing yet short lived experience working as a store manager and leader. It was very challenging in making budgets with high return rates in a not so highly trafficked area. I was able to motivate my staff and make the environment we were in as fun and positive as possible. I also worked closely with the Regional Manager in sharing thoughts and improvements to both the shoe and accessory store. By focusing on company goals and setting targets for my staff, before we knew it we were the top performing stores that has never happened at this location. I knew that I was born to be a natural leader and will succeed in anything I do. This was one of the first stops on my journey and I would definitely go back and do it all again. Show less
