I have five plus years of national and local lobbying experience. My time has been focused on advocating for federal laws that would keep families together by stopping deportations and providing pathways to legalization. I have extensive experience in securing appointments with elected officials and their staff and the follow up skills to move legislation. • Operations Manager
      • Aug 2012 - Present

I have worked with CSF since 2012 as an internal coordinator of events and programming. I have worked as the right hand of our President Emma Lozano on projects related to community organizing and case work for those facing deportation. This includes work with our immigration team that has stopped hundreds of deportations. A notable case is that of veteran Miguel Perez Jr. who served the US army and was deported in 2018. I worked on his case for nearly four years before our success in his return and eventual granting of citizenship in 2019. I have also worked on rescue missions at the border providing support to cases of families applying for asylum and humanitarian parole.

    • DACA Program Coordinator
      • Aug 2012 - Dec 2020

In 2012, I worked as a volunteer for Sin Fronteras in coordination with the Office of Congressman Luis Gutierrez to create a national pilot program for assisting DACA eligible youth to assemble and complete their applications at no cost. I took these skills and began a grassroots DACA program at Sin Fronteras that has completed over 3,000 new and renewal DACA applications to date. I have also worked to provide trainings to other local and national groups to do the same.
