I have known Sara for short of 4 years, she is one of the most diligent and professional people I have had he pleasure of working with. We very often help each other with contracts and advising on different areas of expertise whilst holding a professional and friendly relationship, developing client relationships and thus allowing both Sara and myself professionally and independently flourish.

I manage a dental practice. I ensure that the day runs smoothly, that diaries are full and that the practice is CQC compliant. My practice has 8 surgeries; 6 dentists, 3 specialists, 9 nurses and 5 receptionists. I manage levels of stock within the practice and also performance from all team members. I am responsible for all the banking that is required which entails ensuring that income and expenditure is correct and investigating discrepancies. I also manage a site specific budget. I am the contact on site for any complaints and wherever possible, this would be done face-to-face or over the phone. Show less

I made sure that my team picked stock to tight dead-lines. I was a point of contact for the customer (contactable 24/7). I was also responsible for organising my own maintenance issues so I regularly spoke to service engineers and contractors. I authorised over-time where appropriate and also organised my own temporary workers. I dealt with the wages and holidays, sickness and absence, including one-to-one meetings and return to work processes. I was a health and safety rep, fire marshall and organised events for the staff. I held team briefs every morning, where the shift plan would be discussed and any othe news and I was also involved with the morning management meetings in which the whole site would be discussed. I also introduced a cross-training programme, which saw warehouse colleagues rotated to accomplish different tasks and spur them on to greater things. Show less

    • Inventory Specialist
      • Jul 2005 - May 2006

I was responsible for counting stock in large super-market chains within the UK and Europe. It was a very demanding role due to the dead-lines it required. However, I visited Ireland for new business opportunities and I was sent to Germany, with a team of 40 people for 5 weeks where we specifically dealt with the Asda Wal-Mart chain. Reason for leaving: It became increasingly difficult to be away from home for such large amounts of the time and due to the nature of the company, hours could not be guaranteed. Living out of a suitcase also lost its appeal. However, the travelling was good fun and I was sorry to leave the company. Show less

    • Bar Supervisor

I worked behind the bar. It was my role to make sure that the glass collectors were out and working, make sure that the fridges were well stocked and at the end of the night it was my duty to organise the clean up.
