Instructor

Jun 2011 - Aug 2011
Instructor at two different youth camps financed by Örebro Municipality. The first one was a Nature and Technology Camp for girls in middle school. The purpose of the camp was to get more girls interested in these subjects. Since I studied natural sciences with an environmental and security focus at high school, I was more than happy to encourage and inspire young girls to choose these (often male dominated) subjects. The second camp was arranged by Nerikes Brandkår and focused on teaching children how to act in case of a crisis, for example a fire. The safety and security lessons during my high school degree at Räddningsgymnasiet (which then belonged to Risbergska skolan) were all taught at the local fire station. I am very interested in crisis management and was therefore grateful to get the opportunity to teach children about it. Show less

A project aimed at high school students which included a course in entrepreneurship, financed by Örebro Municipality. Since I had been playing the piano for ten years, I decided to start the company “Piano Fun” and offered piano lessons. In total, I taught 12 children how to play. It was amazing to see how fast they were able to learn when they enjoyed the lessons. As I teacher, I chose to focus on joy and their individual learning progress. Later on, I ran the business as a Junior Achievement Sweden (UF) company and donated 50 percent of the profits to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). Show less
