As a meticulous, hyper-organized, results-oriented editor, Sara improved the writing on every project where the two of us collaborated. She has a sharper eye than nearly any other editor I've worked with, and chops hard at overcomplicated sentences or documents. As a de facto project manager (titles don't always sum things up), she helped order and normalize documents -- including unpacking and refactoring deeply nested templates with dozens of sometimes clashing elements -- for more efficient editing and more consistent client delivery. When the client is IBM especially, savings on any one document often translated into cleaner, faster work on many others. In the time I worked with her at DeLaune, I never saw Sara shy from a project or from the chance to distill and communicate the lessons from each completed piece.
