Sara is a smart, hard-working treasure! She came onto our team at AdventureSmith Explorations as Office Manager, and then due to COVID-19 transitioned to a month of solely supporting our content team with backend CMS projects, image editing and marketing. I was continually impressed with how fast-learning, communicative and organized she was. She set up new systems without hesitation and was key in helping our marketing team track budget on some complex mailing projects. Her emails were so well crafted and thorough that I rarely had follow-up questions for her no matter what the topic. She always had her eye out for sustainable efforts and unique products/industry ideas to introduce to our marketing team. And I loved how she was never shy to use her voice in the video meetings that became our company’s new normal when we moved to full-time remote amid the pandemic. She is truly a great communicator, and a big thinker who will help you think outside all the boxes. I cannot recommend Sara more.

I had the pleasure of working with Sara as part of the STA Travel Student Ambassador Program during the spring 2016 semester. From the very outset of the program, Sara stood out from the crowd. Our program was in its infancy and as I was recruiting for Ambassadors across different university campuses, Sara was recommended to me from a past professor at CSU Chico. The initiative and motivation she displayed upon being accepted into the program was immediately noticeable. Whether she was conducting outreach for on-campus meetings, training herself about new social channels or researching creative ways to promote STA Travel at events, she consistently went above and beyond expectations. A good example of this was when she able to secure a live campus radio interview with STA Travel. Sara hosted the interview herself, asking questions that highlighted the STA Travel brand and inspired students to consider using our resources when booking travel. This is still an accomplishment many STA Travel staff remark upon with high praise. Sara’s dedication to her role is another highlight that would make her a valuable asset to any future employer. When it comes to Ambassador Programs, it can be hit or miss with the amount of time and energy an Ambassador will invest. Whenever we had our weekly check-ins and Sara would share updates, it was clear she was putting in far more hours than was required – not because she had to, but because she was passionate about the projects and the mission. This isn’t something that can trained, making it stand out all the more to me as her program manager. To say working with Sara as her manager was a pleasure would be an understatement – I only regret that we weren’t able to have her as an STA Travel Ambassador for even longer! Please feel free to contact me to speak more to Sara’s work with STA Travel, as I’m happy to do so.
