I produce the Tuesday and Thursday editions of The Daily Update, a student run news show. Reporting on local and national issues to broadcast on these shows, I conduct interviews and compile them into a news packages. I also create all graphics for The Daily Update, including lower thirds, the introduction and other miscellaneous graphics.

A regular week in this role contains monitoring and handling all residential disputes, such as roommate issues, within S.B. Perkins Hall. I also plan monthly programs for over 80 residents and achieved an above average turnout in my first program. I attend weekly staff meetings and 1:1’s with coworkers and superiors and maintain constant interactions with my residents.

During my time in this role, I controlled the audio and visual effects on the video board and all televisions on site through V-Soft Display Studio for large companies such as Diamonds Direct and smaller ones such as XoChitl Chips. I also filmed and edited footage at boulevard events and football games to be used all across the university and updated fan of the game sponsored photos during football games in a time constrained manner.

Show Producer for Basketball Arena

During my time in this role, I was the first person to run the newly installed video board in the gym. I had to learn the program, create the content, and broadcast during multiple games per week. I also published content on social media during these games and updated continual scores for both women's and men's basketball.

In this role, I controlled the audio and visual effects on the video board and all televisions on site through Daktronics Display Studio. I also organized and created a timeline of placements for advertisements from companies like Chick-Fil-A, Whataburger, and Coca-Cola. I communicated with my staff of 10 people and 30 other people from surrounding staffs to negate timing for control of the audio around the stadium. I was also among the first group of high schoolers to broadcast a NCAA college game at the MISD stadium. Show less
