Director Designee
-
Oct 2011 - Dec 2012
Assisted the Center Supervisor in management. My main role at the East Aurora site was maintaining our 45 day screenings. Every child that enters Head Start is given a developmental screening, and vision & hearing screenings. If a child failed the screening and re-screening I made referrals. I referred children to our local school districts, assisted the families with navigating the evaluation and IEP process, and briefed teachers on children's IEPs.

Teacher
-
Jun 2011 - Oct 2011
As a teacher at Head Start I adhered to the program performance standards. I made lesson plan utilizing Creative Curriculum. At Head Start we understand that each child is unique and we individualize learning experiences. In an effort to support each child's rate of development to include individual interests, temperaments, languages, cultural backgrounds, learning styles, and prior knowledge we plan off our observations. Through our observations and the TSG Gold Assessment tool we create an overview of each child. Show less
