  I am involved in the husbandry of the zebra fish at the Ganz Lab in the Department of Integrative Biology at Michigan State University. I currently and working on determining the genotypes zebra fish utilizing Polymerase Chain Reactions (PCR) on fin clips attained from the zebra fish while they are under anesthesia. Then the PCR products are run in a gel electrophoresis test to visualize the genotype of each fish.
