  Sajhedari Bikaas (Partnership for Local Development) is a local governance project funded by the United States Agency for International Development and implemented in 11 districts.  Served as the primary engineering technical expert on the project involving 109 earthquake impacted small scale infrastructure projects from preliminary assessment, surveying, and implementation to handover with sustainability & maintenance plan of each projects in the districts of Gorkha, Dhading and Lamjung.  Monitored and liaised two project's consulting engineering firm along with team of engineers for earthquake recovery work and closely worked and monitored 3 LNGOs.  Monitored project implementation/construction regularly at community level and provide technical support to implementing partners to strictly follow construction code.  Supervised technical staff of partners and support for community participation and ensured all safety standards.  Capacity development support to technical staffs under partners, user committee and project monitoring committee about project management and formulation of sustainability and maintenance plan of the project.  Supported SB’s Senior Field Director and Senior Regional Program Manager to roll-out field activities including dissemination of guidelines, policies to field team for effective implementation at field level and also supported with monthly project completion updates; assisted with producing quarterly and annual reports and success stories, and; maintained a comprehensive database containing project expenses, project start and completion dates, site and geographic location, and disaggregated beneficiary information.  Worked with technical team for effective implementation of project activities, identify and resolve field issues if any.  Monitored grantee activities to ensure best practices are followed and technical compliance with donor requirements are respected.   LGCDP is a national program funded by bilateral development agencies (DFID, GIZ, JICA, SDC, USAID, Government of Norway, Government of Denmark and Government of Finland) and UN Agencies with an over-arching goal to contribute towards poverty reduction through inclusive, responsive and accountable local governance and participatory community-led development.  Supported the Local Development Officer in Myagdi District and Executive Officer Beni Municipality with the participatory planning process for more inclusive and effective planning. Responsibilities included understanding of the resources available to them, consultations with various program officers and line agencies; prioritizing projects at different levels; and supporting DDC with carrying out assessments of minimum conditions and performance measures of VDCs.  Technically supported DDC/DTO to implement/construct 15 small infrastructure projects (Livelihood and WASH projects) demanded by Citizen Awareness Center under LGCDP grant.  Supported DDC/DTO to monitor project implementation/construction and provided technical support to ensure the quality as per the design specifications.  Directly managed LGCDPs five local service providers which involved for social mobilization, Disadvantaged Groups (DAG) Mapping, forming of CACs and WCFs and building their capacity, while conducting other social mobilization activities at the village level.  Supported LGCDP’s Regional Coordinator and Capacity Development Expert with carrying out effective implementation of program activities with the district, including hiring of local service providers to implement social mobilization activities in VDCs; conducting capacity development activities; and providing technical support for the implementation of small livelihood related infrastructure projects requested by marginalized communities via Citizen Awareness Centers (CACs), ward citizen forums (WCF) for better inclusivity.
