Firmware Entwicklung für SIMATIC S7-1500 IO Produkte in C, C++ und TIA Portal inklusive Signalprüfung mit Oszilloskop und kleinen Hardware Anpassungen. Projekt 1: SIMATIC S7-1500 Aktive Backplane • Austausch des PIC-Mikrocontroller durch die kostengünstige und effiziente STM8S001J3 MCU auf der SIMATIC Backplane • Analysieren der Funktion der bestehenden PIC-MCU aus dem Assembly- Code. • Schreiben des Embedded C-Codes zur Generierung von PWM Codewörtern zur Slot-Identifikation der SIMATIC-Module. • Programmieren der neuen STM-MCU in C, um auf Vorgänger Hardware vorhandene Funktionalitäten auf neuer Hardware verfügbar zu haben. • Verglichen wurden die Ergebnisse mit den alten Funktionalitäten auf PIC MCU. Ergebnis: 5% mehr Performance mit neuem Code auf neuer MCU. Projekt 2: S7-1500 IO - AO8HS Module • Anwendungsbereich: Um die Produktionskosten des analogen Hochgeschwindigkeitsmoduls zu senken, wird das derzeit verwendete FPGA durch die Einführung des Technology-ASIC-Chips (T-ASIC - ARM Cortex M3/M4) in diesen Modulen ersetzt. • Implementierung der neuen Firmware-Architektur der Analog High-Speed Modules in C++ mit Eclipse IDE und JTAG. • Implementierungsschritte: Konfiguration, Parametrierung, Prozesswerte, Diagnose und Prozessalarme. • Verwenden von TIA Portal und Mufti Software Tool, um die Firmware zu aktualisieren und Daten vom/zum analogen High-Speed Modul zu lesen/schreiben. Design and Implementation of Energy Efficient Smart Metering System Using ZigBee and Wi-Fi Technology ▪ Designed an IoT-based smart meter to measure and display household energy consumption. ▪ Conducted a detailed study of wireless communication standards like ZigBee, Wifi and 6Lowpan. ▪ Implementation of wireless communication between the consumer and the energy provider using ZigBee and Wifi for the automatic data transfer. ▪ Programmed AtMega328p Microcontroller, Configured the ZigBee devices using DIGI XCTU ▪ Software and ESP8266 module using AT commands on putty software via SSH terminal. ▪ Developed algorithms using sleep modes for low power operation. ▪ Employed mesh network topology for ZigBee devices to achieve a good coverage range. ▪ Implementation is done using C language and Arduino. Data Shaping for Improving Endurance and Reliability in Sub-20nm NAND Flash Memory. ▪ Data Shaping Algorithm – the transformation of input data sequence into a “shaped” data sequence having fewer 0’s(bits) which induce less wearing when programmed to the NAND cell. ▪ Also minimizes the average number of electrons tunnelling in and out of the tunnel oxide per P/E cycle and slow downs the tunnel oxide quality degradation. ▪ Achieved Reduced cell wearing, Higher error correction capability and improved average performance, power and reliability. ▪ Developed routines for the Hardware unit using ModelSim SE 10.5 in VHDL.
