* Became a student ambassador for ANBU UK, a charity focused on child sexual assault (CSA) in the Tamil Community. * Co-operated with Trustees and ambassadors to formulate social media posts to spread awareness about topics such as LGBTQ+ and mental health support in the Tamil community. * Acted as a facilitator at a mental health talk between KCL Tamil Society and St Georges University London Tamil Society, to encourage more open discussion of mental health in the Tamil student community. * Helped set up ANBU-related events, and acted as a professional face for the charity during university life. * Regularly attended monthly meetings to discuss the progression of the charity and to set future targets to meet regarding social media posts and audience engagement. Transferred skills from the OTC to civilian shooting, competing for my university during the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) competition, shooting in the men's singles and team shoots. Have trained to become a range officer (RO), teaching new shooters in 1 on 1 or 2 on 1 to safely handle firearms and to improve their shooting technique. As part of my module (6BBM1000, I worked with the STEMgirls club at Prendergast with a partner to create three sessions on 'Fighting COVID'. This led to the creation and presentation of posters on the sessions ran in a visit organised by myself and my partner, which involved a tour around KCL's Franklin Wilkin's Building and a chance for the pupils to network with KCL staff and students. During my time on the King's College London Undergraduate Research Fellowship, I undertook research with Professor Jacob Wright on informal student caregivers and the efficacy of university help for them during remote and in-person learning. Used a scoping review to formulate surveys, with advertising tactics employed. Interviewed volunteers on sensitive subject matters and usedinterview transcripts to undertake thematic analysis, summarising my findings in an 8,000 word report that has been sent to the Journal of Education. Became a Peer Assisted Leader to mentor first-year students in navigating university life, after having experienced a lack of support during my first year due to the pandemic. Presented various topics ranging from revising lectures for exams to mental health for students. Planned out tutorials for first-year students, cooperating with other PALs to ensure that tutorials were as good as they could be. Designed PowerPoints to effectively communicate and summarise the main points of lectures, as well as being a warm and friendly face for those who were nervous about starting their time at King's. Was promoted from customer delivery representative (CDR) to Picker/Packer within two weeks of starting at Weezy's Paddington store, with experience working in Weezy's Fulham Store as well. Learnt to effectively organise complex orders, quick decision-making and effectively coping under pressure when picking orders to meet KPIs, communication with riders and shift leaders, as well as stock control skills. Assessed and trained new applicants to Weezy, as well as being in charge of teaching quality control of fruits and vegetables to other employees. Show less
