    • President of the OESIS Network, Inc
      • Jun 2012 - Present

Sanje founded the OESIS Network in 2012, a faculty-focused innovation network of 600 independent schools. Our network focuses on changing the learning models of schools with an emphasis on the innovative practices in pedagogy, curriculum development, 21st-century assessment and school culture change. We have grown from a focus on online learning now to cover all areas of student-centered learning including Project-based learning, Mastery, 21st Century Standards-Based, STEAM, Design-Based PRBL, Blended Learning, Inquiry Driven Models and more. Our network encourages real 21st-century collaboration through our online platform OESIS-XP, through our faculty Cohorts, through our anchor Conferences in Boston, Los Angeles and China, through our academic research of 500+ schools, and our E-Portfolio and Mastery Solutions. Our mission is to catalyze the considerable 21st-century opportunities for independent school growth. We do that by maximizing collaboration between the many schools that constitute the independent school tapestry, by creating dynamic platforms, provoking innovative conversations, by globalizing connections for independent schools and by using research and information to lead. One of the first 3 employees of Sierra Canyon High School hired to build a new non-existent independent high school on the outskirts of Los Angeles. We went from 0 students to 850 during my time in 7 years in the process raising $60 million in municipal tax free finance, buying an elementary and middle school to build a K-12 institution, constructing a brand new $30 million Grade 7-12 campus and establishing a strong academic program. I was Associate Head of School for 7 years, I ran the high school as Principal for 3 years during which time we graduated our first senior class, and I was responsible for all aspects of the finances of the School including its $25 million budget, its $30 million construction plan and the raising ( selling the projections for) and management ( meeting covenants) of the $60 million in municipal finance in my capacity as CFO. I also taught a section of Latin every year to High School or Middle School Students. Three full time jobs (AHOS, CFO and HS Principal) at the same time...probably my most challenging start-up.
