Mr. Sanjay Paul was one of the best professors I've had while working on my degree with Kaplan University. He made learning a very interesting and fun experience, extremely knowledgeable and experienced. I especially loved the musical bits he played for us to guess it before the beginning of class.

Jennifer L.

During my time working with Sanjay it is evident that he cares for the students he works with. During my time working with Sanjay he has been a constant help to my team always there to provide us with pivotal information that helped us in our role with the students in helping them achieve their individual goals. I am certain that whatever Sanjay puts his mind to he will excel at as he takes pride in all he does and truly cares about each student he works with.

*When I was a child, I sang in a rock choir, normal choir, and acted in plays. *When my family would travel, I would write songs, play piano, play sitar, the harmonium, or whatever was around, wherever we were. I also played in the homes of various host families, entertaining them! *I took a lot of piano lessons when I was young child and as a teen. I took guitar lessons when I was 15, and later at IU, where I also took voice lessons and took acting courses. *While living in Brazil, I was a lead singer of a reggae band called "Johnny Jack Mesclado" and performed with "The Big Chico Blues Band" as a guest blues guitarist. I completed a songbook, complete with poems, and registered it at the National Library of Congress in Rio de Janeiro. With Johnny Jack, I performed American, Jamaican, and Brazilian reggae covers and performed at the International Bob Marley Festival in 2000 and were televised. I performed for crowds in excess of 500 (guitar/voice) in Itacoatiara, Brazil. Recorded piano tracks for one of Eminem's producers (2004-2005). I also performed on the Carnaval Cruise line in January 2007 after being one of 6 singers selected in their "Pride Idol Contest". I sang The Bee Gee's "Stayin' Alive" in front of 2000+ people. Needless to say, my family thought I was strange. It was recorded onto DVD so if you see someone jumping around on stage in a purple suit, that's me. But, I nailed the falsettos! *I have performed at a few weddings and I have also performed at a P & G project manager's send off party September 2007 and practiced with area bands. In Virginia, I am working on reforming a band and playing out like we had in the Fall of 2019. *Musically, I would like to record all of my music in music video format, put the songs on YouTube and make them available for purchase, and in some cases, free downloads, on ITunes, in both acoustic and electric versions. *Dream position! God basically led me to PSC and I believe, PSC to me! I was here for a contract position. *I taught students across various PSC campuses and have an amazing group of staff, faculty, and students that I work with online and live. The students are very high-caliber, as they are at other schools and the staff and the faculty were AMAZING to work with. *Certain faculty and supervisors helped me to get set up quickly and have provided ongoing mentoring! *The support staff basically treat you like you are an executive and they help you to get you ready for your work. This school is incredibly supportive of everyone across the board. *I underwent advanced Canvas training and will work with new technologies to refine my courses next year. *I taught 5 courses in the fall and taught 7 in the spring and taught General Psychology and General Sociology within the Canvas eLearning system and also online. *I was able to teach rigorous courses using a variety of teaching methods with full support from the campus with every resource made available. *I was allowed to design the live psychology and sociology courses I teach within certain parameters. *I taught classes that ranged from 14-40 students. *I supported campus-wide initiatives which engage students in their various programs and encourage the incorporation of sociological and psychological programs. *Students are from various programs of study including Golf, Cosmetology, Theater Arts, Criminal Justice, Business Management, Nursing, and many other programs. * I was invited to be on a Library Committee and invited to do motivational speaking on Financial Literacy Topics. *I participated in certain meetings, when possible, as a non-member with the Active Minds group. I also could not ask for a better set of students to teach. *Working with students to integrate sociology into their performing arts careers through the use of multimedia, in-class assignments, live performances, journal activities, and a final exam. *Supporting students at dance, acting, and vocal recitals as they prepare for student outreach, broadway-type performances, and the world tour in their sophomore year. I support them by attending their various rehearsals. I could not be prouder of their efforts, even if I am not one of their performing arts instructors! *Trained and sold in herbs, vitamins, protein supplements, minerals, vitamins, and various other products to help with preservation of lean muscle mass, preserving of memory, increasing energy, preventing hormonal imbalances, promoting longevity, improving heath, and more (40-hours of modular training). *Assisted individuals of all ages, genders, and nationalities, tourists and locals, with concerns related to health. *This position bridged my psychological training with my premedical training and helped me to understand health and wellness to a far-deeper level and to actually see results before my eyes. This also influenced my holistic mindset (mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual) and changed the way that I would later teach and overall well-being. I would later emphasize process and content-level teaching dynamics. *This was the number 1 GNC store out of 5,000 due in large part to the leadership of Adele Davenport, the head manager, who hired me. • Floor Governor
      • Aug 1993 - Jul 1995

As part of student government, I helped to manage issues that the floor members had. The highlight was the $8300 we raised for Riley's Children's Hospital (Cancer Ward). Nothing, not even my degree, was as gratifying as that. We recruited bands to contribute in this charitable event around the Teter Halls. I am now looking to get back into this.
