I studied the interactions between light and biomolecules in the condensed phase at USC in the Department of Chemistry in Dr. Stephen E. Bradforth’s Ultrafast Spectroscopy Lab. I have collaborated with Dr. Gaurav Kumar to generate short pulse ultraviolet light to probe the excited state of biomolecules, indole and tryptophan. I worked on recording the time-dependent spectrum for hexafluorobenzene. I have presented research at Southern California Undergraduate Research Conference in Chemistry and Biochemistry at Mount St. Mary’s College in Spring 2019 and Occidental College in Spring 2020.
