Project Intern
-
Jun 2019 - Jun 2019
In June 2019, I was required to work and live with the rest of my cohort to conduct a research assessment into the viability of a water, sanitation and health initiative in Sigatoka, Fiji. As this was during the early stage development of this project, we were focused upon research to identify potential customer segments and related problem opportunities. I had learned both the theory application of core business elements from the lean canvas through both subjective and objective research methodologies. Key Achievement -Conducted 250 surveys with the rest of my cohort in the rural coastal villages along Western Fiji. This surveys were carried out to identify the problems faced on a daily basis with their water management in the local villages. -This information was then collated into a report format and presented to the local provincial council, Fiji Water Authority and water authority of the villages to support their application for improved WASH access and infrastructure. Through this internship I was able to gain a few personal and professional skills like Empathy, Resilience and Adaptability. Show less
