Worked on a research project for Siemens - Process Industries and Drives Division. The theme of the project is to extensively analyze the networking Layer 3 protocol ‘RSVP - Resource Reservation Protocol‘ and validate its suitability to provide ‘Deterministic Services’ over Ethernet for bandwidth intensive and time sensitive applications such as Industrial Automation and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. During my tenure in IBM, I made a significant contribution to the firmware development for IBM P9 processor chips. The key work area was the firmware to manage the functionalities such as Boot Up, Initialization, Reset and Halt for OCC (On Chip Controller) and transfer of signals and data through communication channels on the processor chip. Additionally, took up tasks to develop applications and prototypes to enhance the development process. I developed a framework to automate the process of testing the code across multiple platforms during development phase. I was involved in the development of the prototype to automate the manual process of running tests on the firmware and analyzing the results to identify defects. I also had the opportunity to work with the latest IoT (Internet of Things) technology and together with my colleagues designed a time effective protocol for authentic and secured communication between devices in a Smart Home IoT (Internet of Things) network. This protocol was deemed as a “Prior Art” for patents in this field. Further, I have been involved in technical activities such as Poster Presentation and Hackathon which gave me an insight into the wide range of trending technologies. Show less

I was offered internship in ABB Corporate Research Lab. The project aimed at developing a prototype design for relation templates to implement Data Mining by integrating machine learning methodologies with relational database technology. I worked with various machine learning algorithms for classification (K Nearest Neighbours, Bayesian), clustering (K Means, Agglomerative, Divisive, EM), recommender systems and dimensionality reduction (PCA, SVD, Feature subset selection). The work primarily comprised of writing stored procedures, optimizing the SQL queries for better performance with respect to time and space, and understand the underlying functionalities of the language.
