Helping build and launch app that allows users to place bets on mainstream sporting events and gain popularity amongst fellow players. App currently on TestFlight. - Developing user profile endpoint, which includes dynamic user stats calculated according to BestBet55 rules, with Django REST framework serializers and class-based views. - Integrated third-party API to populate Postgres database with real time game odds and scores, extensively making use of Celery tasks. - Optimize database queries; decreased fetching of a user’s total bets from 340ms to 11ms - Help resolve bugs that arise and deploy fixes, especially issues related to Celery task configuration, basic UI design, bet scoring logic, and saving of data to Postgres database. - Write tests when bugs arise and when new logic added. Improved test coverage from 50% to 90%. - Deployed webapp to elastic container service on AWS.
