  Music was my world from birth - it's in my DNA. I started playing flute in 6th grade, guitar in 7th grade, french horn in 10th grade, and always sang. I love harmony. I began a professional career in music before graduating from high school, and continued into my career at UF. The bulk of my career was as a duo, Alpert & Sheene. We were extremely popular, opened for Phoebe Snow, Judy Collins, Kenny Rankin. Fun time in my life, and learned a great deal about life! Music was my world from birth - it's in my DNA. I walked with my customers through the myriad of selections of fabulous plant and tree selections, gave them my advice (I have a degree in Horticulture from UF), and usually they would end up hiring me to come to their home as a horticultural consultant and designer - their gardens became beautiful!!
