I have been awarded the title of an 'Extraordinary Research Fellow,' which places me within the Research Focus Area: Social Transformation. My duties with this entail the publication of quality, international research within the fields of philosophy and the social sciences.

- As a lecturer, I created or co-created 9 different modules and also taught these classes (15 overall if you include other institutions).- Supervised 6 postgraduate dissertations and theses, all of which received the highest distinction possible.- Created multiple extracurricular events such as reading groups, essay contests,diversity panels, and so forth.

Postdoctoral Fellow

- This has been my main job/post since I received my PhD. It is primarily a research post but during this time I was able to teach and work with the writing lab as long as it didn't occupy more than 20% of my time.- Published a monograph, wrote 17 peer reviewed articles, published 2 essays and 5 book reviews and I was interviewed for TV in Brazil. Invited to speak at 11 events and presented research at 17 conferences.- Received at least 3 different types of grants valued over 600,000 Rand ($42,000), I founded a research group while being apart of 3 other research entities. I also participated in 3 international academic societies.

Consultant and Tutor

- Worked with students at all levels to increase their writing comprehension. This involved reading their work, making detailed notations and edits, and then having a one-on-one consultation with follow up visit.- Edited colleagues work for academic English prior to publication.- Ran a workshop to help PhD students in Pedagogy and Education Sciences perfect their rhetoric and academic English skills.- Attended weekly workshops at the Writing Lab intended to help consultants. I eventually led some of these workshops or at least greatly contributed to them.
