In TTM, I participated in several large research projects as EU-PEARLS project for which I screened genomic BAC libraries for rubber biosynthesis genes, and Apomixis project where I participated in the fine mapping of DIP and PAR genes in Taraxacum. Lately, as a member of the Research Support Group, I performed DNA/RNA isolations, company-wide projects. Furthermore, I worked on High-Throughput Genotyping projects combined with Next Generation Sequencing technologies. At the same time, as a member of the Molecular Mutagenesis group, I was involved in most stages of Keypoint® Mutation Breeding projects on multiple crops (tomato, pepper to name a few), including generation of mutated populations, gen-specific amplification, sequence analysis after deep sequencing of 3D pools and mutation validation. Besides, I was responsible of the Oligo-order service.

    • Technician at Applied Research department
      • Mar 2005 - Aug 2006

As a member of the AR department, I worked in close collaboration with project leaders on numerous projects, mainly Marker Assisted Breeding applications like Genetic Distance Analysis, Bulk Segregant Analysis and Visualization of markers. Besides, I trained and advised colleagues for the construction of BAC libraries.

    • Technician at Upstream Research department
      • Jun 1999 - Feb 2005

During this period, I constructed large insert BAC libraries of many genomes (Solanaceae, Maize, Zebra fish) and successfully implemented different steps of the procedure, from HMW DNA and vector preparation to BAC clones analysis. I also worked for the High-Throughput Genotyping program performing SNP discovery/validation on different crops. I also worked on the implementation of Tilling as a routine screening method for the detection of single nucleotide mutations in pooled samples of a mutants population.
