I worked in Dr. Kim Williamson's lab with Plasmodium falciparum and Plasmodium berghei. I was the acting lab manager and was in charge of keeping the lab organized and running smoothly.I worked on cell culturing Torin 2 resistant lines in P. falciparum to identify how Torin 2 affects the sexual reproduction mechanism. I also prepared mice for oocyte assays by infecting them with P. berghei and tracking their infection, and harvesting blood for assays.
