  Conduct Verification Visits with Candidates to assess competency and support teachers' growing skills. PD Specialist will bring the mentoring/coaching skills and ECE expertise needed to facilitate the Candidate’s self-reflection and professional development. During the process I review the Candidate’s Professional Portfolio, training transcripts/certificates and Family Questionnaires; observe the Candidate working with children and record criterion evidence; reflect with the Candidate, focusing on areas of strength or growth found in the Portfolio or seen in the Observation. Upon completion of the visit then submit Competency Recommendation Scores to the Council online that, combined with the results of the new CDA Credential Exam, will contribute to the Candidate’s final credentialing decision.
