I facilitated in the enrollment, retention, and educational success of homeless and foster students. I Interviewed, identifed, and serviced these populations by providing extra academic support, referrals to counseling, assisted in fulfilling the basic health and wellness needs of such student populations and acted as an advocate in order to overcome barriers and ensure academic success.

District Parent Liaison

I also assisted in the advocacy of special population students such as, Homeless, Teen Parents, and Migrant students. I collaborated with the community to improve overall district parental involvement and engagement that helped build family capacity. I assisted families in need by supplying a bank of resources to fulfill those needs. In additional to these responsibilities, I provided assistance in the fulfillment of the requirements for compliance and administration of programs done by the Federal Programs and Grants Department for all NCLB documentation, as required by law, of all district children who are served using Title I funds.
