    • Director of Credit Recovery
      • Jul 2007 - Jul 2010

My ultimate role was to create and implemented self-contained full-year independent study units designed to correlate with school curriculum in a one-month time-period. I also had the opportunity to design a web-based Middle School Business Foundations Course for Virtual High School using Blackboard Academic Suite 8.3 in the fall of 2009 and instructed the web-based course in the spring of 2010, managing a class of 20 students in an on-line environment. To increase the number of independent study units available to credit recovery students, I researched, designed, and implemented advanced math, Chemistry and additional full-year elective study units designed to meet state standards and student credits needed for graduation requirements. My ability to motivate high school students and help them create a vision for the future resulted in a 20% high school graduation rate increase in 2009-2010 school years. Show less
