Student Assistant - event and excursion manager
-
Feb 2015 - Sep 2017
In order for international students to feel welcome, integrated, and learn the German culture, the International Relations Office offers educational excursions around various cities in Germany. My responsibility was to organize these excursions, manage and budget them correctly and to offer students an entertaining as well as educating excursions. Additionally, I had the responsibility of accompanying them throughout the whole excursion and taking care of the logistics. Other smaller activities were also within my task range, for instance organizing trips within the city to the theatre, the Eastern European Film Festival or holding an International Dinner Tasting. I also supported new-coming students with the registration and necessary paperwork, co-coordinated the big Welcome Reception of the university and was involved in the refugee consultation sessions.
