Duties include taking inbound calls from policyholders, third parties and representatives wanting to log a new claim or requesting information on an existing claim. Calling policyholders when we receive an alert to see if they have been involved in an accident and offering our assistance. Contacting third party insurers to report new claims or make enquiries. Dealing with daily queries received by post or email I also deal with total loss claims on a daily basis, I update a spread sheet to show the current position on a total loss file, review the documents and refer any indemnity queries to the underwriters, raise payments, I call the client to discuss any deductions and dispose of the car.
