Machine Learning Software Development Intern
-
May 2022 - Aug 2022
• As a summer intern, I led a couple of software projects with a focus on ML model development and deployment over the AWS platform. • Successfully introduced agile development (JIRA) and VCS (Git) to teams of 6 and 9 as Scrum Master of the projects. • Worked on deep unsupervised and reinforcement learning models with participation in architecting, design, and optimization. • Briefly introduced MLOPs for automated monitoring, scalable, and compute-efficient software product. During my tenure, I worked on a Vehicle Classification GUI which functions with multiple modules, starting with raw video to final multi-label classification involving feature extraction for the same. This project was targeted to serve those who work with unique datasets obtained by selecting frame subsections of footage and classify them. I developed graphical visualization of performance and accuracy, Semi-automatic Dataset Generation Module, the HOG & LBP vector generation & fusion module. I came up with a unique optimization, that reduced the time taken for manual tagging from 40 minutes per frame to just 1-2 minutes. The data integrity and consistency were also improved due to the minimization of human intervention, enhancing overall system performance simultaneously. The internship helped me in the practical domain of application for Image Processing, Machine Learning, and (frontend- backend construction of) GUI. And most importantly, I was able to work and contribute effectively in a team. Show less
