I worked with Shantal in Japan during the 2008 and 2009 summers. A combination of lack of sleep, being in a different country and working all day with children that don't understand our language could be stressful for some people. However, these things did not affect Shantal’s work effort. I was impressed with her dedication to the children she taught, as well as to the people she worked with. She was always willing to adapt to any sudden changes and come up with solutions for unexpected problems. Working in Japan was the best experience of my life and it was a privilege to work with Shantal.
