I have known Sandeep since he completed my ‘core’ course ‘Managing People and Organisations’ (BUSMGT 711) in the GSM Business Masters. This graduate course is based on an intensive, interdisciplinary web-based business simulation, combining and integrating elements of strategy, marketing, operations, product design and human resource management within a complex competitive environment. The simulation takes place over the full 10-week quarter and requires student ‘companies’ to analyse their corporate position, develop strategies, distribution networks and ongoing responses within a highly competitive business environment. The course demands inter-disciplinary cooperation and coordination within teams, as no company can succeed without the contribution of each functional area of the business. Besides the business and management aspects, the simulation provides a place for leadership to emerge as it did in the case of Sandeep, who displayed excellent leadership ability. Sandeep’s role in his team’s success was obvious. Overall, Sandeep is a very capable young man and I am sure that he will be successful in any role he accepts. He has excellent ‘people skills,’ along with sound business savvy. Combining his prior background with a holistic understanding of the entire enterprise, he will be able to handle a range of responsibilities and perform to high standards.

I worked with Sandeep for close to a year at Target , during this time he reported to me. He is extremely focused on what he does and gives his 100%. One pattern I consistently observed about him especially during critical and challenging projects was asking the right questions. He is also extremely candid about his observations of the team and himself. I would certainly love to work with Sandeep again. I wish him good luck in all his future roles and endeavors.
