Recommend and qualify additional service providers as required to support project needs. Evaluate costs against quotations received to ensure they are in agreement. Maintain project freight estimate, logistics plan and accurate cost tracking. Interact with Logistics Company, approved Carriers, Brokers and/or Freight Forwarders providing and /or supporting to get all required information and documentation as needed for customs clearance for international shipments (import and export). Provide routine updates to initiatives project manager on project tasks, milestones, risks, and changes. Maintains contact with carriers, warehouses, freight forwarders and others as necessary to maintain the most favourable business environment in accordance with established group policies and procedures. Responsible for organising loading of materials based on Operational schedules and vessel requirements into offshore CCU with agent. Ensure that CCU’s are packed in line with the Company’s policy & procedures. Act as a liaison between Vessel & Charter’s logistics department to coordinate the delivery of offshore CCU’s from shore facility to vessel & return to onshore. Monitoring of the vessels Life rafts, LSA & FFA equipment status, and schedule their inspection & servicing with approved third party contractors. Monitoring of the lifting gears registry to ensure that all equipment is certified and valid for safe usage on board and schedule inspection & certification with approved third party contractors.
