Decisions frequently require application of sophisticated analytical procedures and techniques to complex, multi-disciplinary problems. Working relationships are diverse and include contacts with high-level positions in regulatory agencies and utility companies as well as with City policymakers and senior management. The purpose of most of the working relationships is to provide technical advice and direction, solve problems, negotiate and administer contracts, monitor compliance and advocate for the department and the City's constituents.

7259 HHWP Maintenance Manager / Supervisor 2004 to 2010As a 7259 Water & Power Maintenance Supervisor, I managed, planned, initiated and coordinate the following duties: the maintenance and repair of over 150 miles of tunnels, pipelines, water conveyance systems, pipeline roads, power transmission roads, right of ways, security systems, related facilities, buildings and grounds from Moccasin to Sunol primarily in the Central San Joaquin Valley. I managed the maintenance and repair of 50 miles of three large diameter pipelines range from 48” to 72” in diameter with hundreds of structures, and appurtenances, including, buildings, facilities, Valve houses, Crossover Valve houses, Maintenance yards, air valves, gate valves, butterfly valves and manholes..

Annual maintenance on Hydroelectric powerhouses, managing, establishing and reviewing weekly planned maintenance work schedules for various departments, including estimating time, material, and manpower projections; monitoring progress of maintenance work in relation to specified schedules; recommending corrective actions as necessary. Establishing, maintaining and modifying a preventive maintenance program for departmental properties, hydroelectric powerhouses, equipment and fleet vehicles.
