I have the pleasure of working with Sanat during the past four years. You cannot ask for a better supervisor; he is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to Civil Engineering and he is a great human being with exceptional personality. He is one of the pioneers when it comes to application of geosynthetics in Civil Engineering.

Sanat was my best friend and a long time classmate at the Indian Institute of Technology at Roorkee (formerly known as University of Roorkee). We worked together in the same team as co-members. He was an intelligent, hardworking, and gifted friend to work in the team and as a classmate, and I could trust him and rely in his time and the quality of the work. He can work independently as well as in group without any difficulty. After undergraduate studies we landed back in Nepal in the same flight, and started the first job in engineering almost at the same week. I had great opportunity to work with him at Integrated Consultants Nepal Pvt. Ltd. It has been great pleasure to work in the same firm eventhough it was for short period of time. He later joined the Net Consultants Pvt. Ltd. that I co-founded in the year 1989. Sanat had helped to grow Net Consultants Pvt. Ltd. in short period of time. Sanat had also worked in Nepal Engineers Association at different level including the Executive Member and elevate the NEA for the welfare of Nepalese Engineers in Nepal and abroad. For last few years, Sanat has been working as a researcher in Geotechnical Engineering at Kansas University, and obtained PhD from there. We regularly have discussions on geotechnical matters particularly the ground improvements. He is a great researchers, and had published several journals papers in international journals including ASCE's Journal of Geotechnical Engineering. He is one of my outstanding classmate, continues to grow, and has great potential to become great a researcher, an educator, and an engineer. I wish him all the best in his endeavors.
