    • Support Prefect
      • Nov 2022 - Present

In my role as a Prefect, I undertook a range of responsibilities, these included:☑ Mentoring: I provided guidance and support to younger students, ranging from one-on-one academic support, to group teaching all the way to sports coaching.☑ Events Coordination: Collaborating with the prefect team, I helped plan and execute school events, workshops, and fundraisers. These are not only fulfilling on a personal level, but make a huge difference to the community.☑ Delivering Important Messages: This is a very important one for me personally. As a student of colour and second generation immigrant, I have received racial discrimination (thankfully not at school) in the past. As part of my prefect role, I volunteer to give talks to my form group about important current affairs such as a gender inequality speech I gave recently. One of my most rewarding experiences was spearheading the organisation of a concert to fundraise for the victims of the earthquake in Turkey. I have detailed my contributions to this initiative below, however, I would like to stress the significance of this project for me on a personal level and I am unbelievably proud of my school community for allowing this concert go forward and helping it become a reality. It truly was one of the most fulfilling projects I have ever undertaken in my life. Show less

    • Raised £10,000 for earthquake victims
      • Mar 2023 - Mar 2023

I organised a large team and, over the course of three months, arranged a band, venue and music supplies ranging from sound equipment to food and drink (all of which was donated) for a charity concert to aid the survivors of the earthquake in Turkey. After having sold over 200 tickets, food and drink on the day and arranged corporate match funding, we managed to raise over £10,000 pounds. As a second generation Turkish immigrant myself with close family and friends strongly affected by this earthquake, the work done for this event was very important to me.I am extremely greatful to have positively impacted the lives of those in need. • Football Officiating
      • Sep 2021 - Present

Throughout my refereeing journey, I've had the privilege of officiating at various levels, from U7s to U13s. Some highlights of my experience include: ☑ Precision and Decision-making: Making split-second decisions under pressure while maintaining a collected state of mind has taught me confidence in my decisions whilst in a stressful environment. ☑ Communication: Effectively communicating with players and coaches to ensure transparency in rulings and a respectful atmosphere on the field is essential whenrefereeing and I have been able to nurture these skills with my experience. ☑ Crisis Management: The coaches, players and spectators are all extremely passionate about football and, at least once a game, there is a chaotic situation. Years of experience in football officiating has taught me how to stay calm and impartial in a stressful situation to ensure the game flows smoothly and efficiently. Show less

    • PWC Insight Week
      • Jul 2023 - Jul 2023

Overview: I had the opportunity to participate in an insight week at PWC, where I gained invaluable experience and knowledge into the financial services sector and contributed to hypothetical projects set up by the team that enhanced my skills and understanding. What was particularly unique and exciting was the virtual park wet up by PWC where I networked with fellow students as well as asked important questions to PWC employees about the sectors in which they worked. Throughout the placement, I immersed myself in the company's culture and I had the privilege of learning from seasoned professionals which significantly broadened my horizons. I am very grateful to have been selected for this opportunity. Show less

    • Student Tutor
      • Mar 2023 - May 2023

Throughout my tutoring career, I have had the privilege of witnessing countless situations when students overcome challenges and grasp challenging concepts. One of my most rewarding achievements was guiding a student from struggling with simple algebraic equations to confidently solving complicated simultaneous equations. It is accomplishments such as these that allow me to develop my leadership and teaching skills as well as positively impact a student's life,I continuously seek out new teaching methodologies, educational resources, and technological advancements to perfect my teaching methods and ensure my students are provided with the most optimal support. This dedication to growth allows me to provide the most effective and innovative tutoring experience. Aside from the benefits to my students, working in this way has enabled me to become flexible in my strategies when working in all types of situations, especially when I am leading a group for a task or project. • Guitar Teacher
      • Nov 2022 - May 2023

My approach to guitar instruction combines engaging musical education to the technical nitty and gritty it takes to become a great guitar player. I believe in tailoring lessons to each student's musical interests and goals, creating a personalized learning journey that is inspiring as well as interesting.Throughout my experience in teaching guitar, I have found that making lessons inspiring is just as (if not more) quintessential as teaching the techniques themselves. With such a difficult and painstaking instrument, providing students with the willingness to continue to practise is invaluable, and I have transferred this skill when working or leading teams on difficult and more frustrating jobs in school or outside of school. • May 2022 - May 2022

Created by InvestIn, this insight weekend (a series of lectures at UCL and hands on tasks) allowed me to gain a further understanding of the field I would like to pursue when I am older and further deepened my passion for sales and trading. When we were there, we were instructed to implement a range of fundamental and technical analysis techniques on individual stocks to create a portfolio. The top 3 groups which made the most money would have to stand up in front of the entire 300+ person lecture hall and present their portfolio. I led my team (even though I was the youngest there) to create our portfolio and presented it to the hall. Despite having come 3rd overall in money made, because the judges were so impressed with my presentation and the knowledge and confidence I said it with they awarded our team the win. It was a very interesting weekend and helped further deepen my passion for this industry. Show less
