Investigated the mechanistic role of cancer- and embryogenesis-related genes in stem cell-driven muscle fibre development and growth. This work discovered a significant novel function of a common oncogene in muscle biology, and was achieved using advanced molecular biology techniques, bioinformatics, and cell culture/animal model systems. An original publication has been produced from this work, with another in preparation.
