I worked under Mr. Ashe's supervision at Ashe Arts & STEM Academy (formerly The Ashe Academy) in a volunteer leadership capacity where I served as Director of Event Operations from 2020-2022. Not only did Mr. Ashe demonstrate the epitome of a kind, empathetic leader, he brought and continues to bring joy wherever he is. Whenever I brought him an idea with regards to event logistics or fundraising (even working remotely from Atlanta), he always created space for me to express my thought processes and weighed his decisions considering all parties involved. Although I could no longer volunteer due to increased work responsibilities at my new job, I am indebted to him for providing me with the opportunity to serve a mission that I wholeheartedly support as a woman formally trained in the Performing Arts and a vehicle by which to flex my fundraising muscle and hone my skillset. On a personal note, Mr. Ashe is fun-loving, diplomatic, and amiable. I would welcome the opportunity to collaborate with him again in a heartbeat!
