      Whilst studying in school, I was looking opportunities and after spotting a hole in a consumer based market I started an importing business with a B2C focus, a strong set of goals and a can-do attitude. Turning a simple idea into a successful business with an annual turnover of over 100k. I handled tasks such as: - Negotiating with suppliers - Sourcing markets/shows to attend - Hiring and managing staff - Managing and tracking P&L and Revenue streams - Negotiating bulk orders with re-sellers This role was part time and largely weekend and after hours work, following local markets and shows around the South Island. Outside of weekend work, there was a strong e-commerce presence on TradeMe and other marketplaces. After successfully achieving my goals, I sold this business to focus on my career with Ricoh.
