I consult with The Kennel Club and Petlog, a database and call centre that primarily deal with pedigree pets and the reuniting of lost pets with their respective, registered keepers. My day to day involves interacting with clients over the phone. I also am responsible for registering new pets to the database as well as overseas breeds. I also respond to queries that a customer might have regarding their pet or the services Petlog provide. I was part of a two-week work experience at Penguin Random House UK where I worked in the children's department as an Editorial Assistant. During my time there, I read various manuscripts, writing submission reports to give me opinions on how the manuscript could be improved and what edits needed to be made, both grammatically and structurally. I also helped Editors with projects by conducting research on various subjects as well as helping in other ways by writing back cover copies. Whilst studying through university, I held a part-time job at the Co-operative as a Customer Team Member. The role included serving customers, stocking shelves and working as part of a team to deliver the best service we could. During my time there, I learnt how to communicate with people and develop my social skills as well as my ability to work as part of a team.
