  I was part of a two-week work experience at Penguin Random House UK where I worked in the children's department as an Editorial Assistant. During my time there, I read various manuscripts, writing submission reports to give me opinions on how the manuscript could be improved and what edits needed to be made, both grammatically and structurally. I also helped Editors with projects by conducting research on various subjects as well as helping in other ways by writing back cover copies.
