    • Executive Board Member
      • Jan 2011 - Present

In 2011, I joined this NGO and in 2012, I conceptualized a teacher training program aimed at supporting educators in disadvantaged communities. This initiative led to the establishment and official registration of The Institute of Teachers Professional Development (ITPD) in 2013, recognized by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC). To date, ITPD has been successfully training teachers (www.itpd.ac.ke). In addition, I initiated a two-year donor-funded project called the Child Literacy Project (CLIP) from November 2013 to October 2015. CLIP impacted 28 public primary schools, 51 class 1 & 2 teachers, and 1840 pupils in Kajiado County, resulting in a significant improvement in overall academic performance, increasing from 40% to 70% in those grade levels. At the conclusion of the CLIP Project, we established a community library and resource center in Kajiado North Sub-County, fostering a reading culture and providing information access to school children, students, and the community. Over the years, I have forged over 15 partnerships with companies, NGOs, universities, the Ministry of Education, and government agencies, including the Kenya National Library Service, since 2012. • Founder
      • Aug 2016 - Jan 2021

Through a collaboration with the Kenya National Library Service, we were able to secure book donations for our community library project. This initiative provided a valuable resource for children in the community, offering them a meaningful way to spend their free time during holidays and weekends. The primary objective of the library was to foster a reading culture among school children and cater to schools without their own libraries. In light of the Covid-19 lockdown, when schools eventually reopened, we extended our support by donating the library books to various schools, ensuring that the resources reached a wider audience and continued to benefit students in their educational journeys.
