  Suffolk Chamber of Commerce and EDF are working to build a robust local and regional supply chain to ensure Suffolk and the East of England benefits from this once-in-a-lifetime economic boost. To do this, the Sizewell C Supply Chain Team is asking interested companies from all backgrounds to come forward. Sizewell C has the potential to generate reliable low carbon energy for decades to come, whatever the weather. It could create 40,000 person years of employment and contribute £4.5billion to the East of England economy during its lifetime. Suffolk Chamber is working with EDF and its Tier 1 suppliers to identify companies on the portal who are ready for nuclear, to match their capabilities with contracts and work packages. Therefore, I am tasked with understanding the local business landscape and raising awareness of the supply chain offer through a wide range of targeted engagement opportunities. This will aid with business improvement plans to assist suppliers in maximising their chances of winning contracts at Sizewell C Nuclear power station.
